Bridal/Wedding Make Up & Hair Styling

I have been a bride myself and know only too well how perfect you want your special day to be - including how you look. It is my job to make you look (even more!) wonderful and feel great. If this means me stepping in to hand out the button holes, then that's what I'll do - all part of the service!

Trial
My wedding make up/hair styling process always begins with a trial which should take place at least 4-6 weeks before your big day. A £30 non-refundable deposit is needed in advance to secure your trial booking, along with a booking form.
On the day of your trial, I will come to your house or place of your choice. We will sit down together and discuss what look your hoping to achieve on the day. It is extremely useful for me if you have a folder of ideas/look, pictures of your wedding dress, your wedding scheme colours etc. available for me so we can try to match your hair and/or make up perfectly. If you intend to wear a veil or tiara, I will also need these on the day of your trial so that we can get the complete make up/hair picture.
Once we have gone through what you're after, I will set to work! I can try as many styles or looks as you want. It is my job to make sure you are 110% confident and satisfied with my work. It is for this very reason that you should allow 2-4 hours for your trial (more if I am also conducting trials on other members of the bridal party).
When you are completely happy that we have found your look, I will take pictures of your make up and/or hair and make a note of the products I have used so that I will have everything on hand on your big day. At this time, if you like, I can jot down some of the products I have used so that you can purchase your own for those all important touch ups on the day.
At the end of your trial, the trial fee is due (cash or cheque only). If you decide that you would like to go ahead and book me for your wedding day, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due (minus the booking fee already paid). All other members of the wedding party making bookings at this time must also pay their 50% non-refundable deposits at this time.
On the Day
On the big day, I will come to wherever you are getting ready for the wedding (e.g. your home, wedding venue etc.) at an agreed time.
How early I arrive will depend on how many members of the bridal party I need to work on and when you all need to be ready.
If I am doing the make up and/or hair of other members of the bridal party, I will usually work on them first before moving onto the bride. If you are having make up and hair, I will start work on the hair first and leave the make up until last 1) to ensure it covers evenly and 2) to ensure it looks as fresh as possible. You should not be in your dress whilst I am working on you.
I will work from the notes and photographs taken at your trial to recreate the unique look we created at your trial. If there any any changes you want to make on the day, I will be happy to listen and do what I can however complete changes of style or look should be avoided to ensure you are ready on time and completely happy with your appearance.
I use only the very best products and your make up is designed to stay put as long as you need it to though you will probably require the odd touch up of lipstick or face powder at one or two intervals during the day.
I can provide an evening touch up service if you require. This will be at an additional cost to be discussed and calculated based on your individual situation.
If I am styling your hair, please ensure that it is completely dry when I arrive and, if possible, washed the night before.
How to Book and Payment Terms & Conditions
To book my services for your wedding day, please contact me to check availability. Once I confirm that I am available, I will provide you with a quote and a breakdown of services/costs. A £30 non-refundable deposit is then required within seven days to secure your wedding date and trial. The deposit can be paid by cash, cheque, PayPal or bank transfer. The deposit will be deducted from your final balance. If have not received your deposit after seven days, I am afraid your wedding date will be released.
You can book your trial date at the same as your wedding or at a later date if you wish but please ensure it is no later than 4 weeks before your wedding.
At the end of your trial, the trial fee is due (cash or cheque only).
If, after your trial, you decide to use my services on your wedding day, 50% of your wedding day cost is required as a non-refundable deposit. The full balance is then due at least seven days in advance of your wedding day or in cash on the day.
All other members of the wedding party making bookings at the end of the trial must also pay their 50% non-refundable deposits at this time.
Should you need to cancel your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible.
If you cancel before your trial, your £30 booking deposit will be lost.
If you cancel within four weeks of your wedding date, a charge of 70% of the outstanding balance will be incurred.
If you cancel within one week of your wedding date, a charge of 100% of the outstanding balance will be incurred.
In the unlikely event that I am unable to make your appointment due to a personal emergency or illness, I will try to find you an alternative make up artist (I would only offer artists that I personally recommend). Cancellation of the appointment by myself will result in a refund of 100% of costs already paid by you (plus 50% of the trial fee paid).
In the event of an accident, severe illness, inclement weather conditions and/or an act of God affecting my ability to attend on your wedding day, I will try to find you an alternative make up artist whom I would fully brief. Please note: I will not be held responsible for any mechanical breakdowns, or for any delays caused by events beyond my control. If I am unable find a suitable alternative artist that I would recommend, the full extent of my liabilities is to give you a full refund.
I reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund if at any time during the trial any member of your party is abusive, violent or displays any behaviour that I deem to be offensive.
